City of Hempstead Wastewater Treatment Plant, Texas

TLC provided surveying and structural design services for the City of Hempstead’s 1.0 million gallons per day (MGD) Wastewater Treatment Plant to accommodate the city’s future needs. The plant was built on a greenfield site located adjacent to the existing plant and designed for a population of 10,000. The City anticipated an average flow of 0.98 MGD and a peak flow of 4.0 MGD. The delivery method was Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), and the prime contractor was Camp Dresser and McKee (CDM), now known as CDM Smith. The facility was completed in October 2012.
