TLC completed the conceptual site design for the Southeast Texas Biomedical Research Institute (SETBRI), which was proposed to be developed on a 100-acre site in Cleveland, Texas, adjacent to US Highway (US) 59/Interstate Highway (IH) 69. The proposed facility will house a research laboratory, professional clinic, medical school, dental school, auditorium, classrooms, dormitories, and an extended stay hotel. The budgeted cost of the project is estimated to be $300 million dollars and will take about 8 to 10 years to complete.
During the design and construction phases, TLC will be responsible for the programming and management of design and construction in all disciplines. With the developer recently obtaining funding, design development for the project is expected to begin in 2015. The project is scheduled to begin construction in 2018.
